RICHARD ROSS, MSW, LCSW
PSYCHOTHERAPIST, COACH AND MENTOR

Richard works extensively with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents in crisis through his practice in Ramsey, New Jersey. He also works with families with chronic illness, and is on the psycho-social medical committee of Camp Najeda. Camp Najeda specializes in young Persons with Type I Diabetes. His role with the organization includes advisory services for the psychosocial treatment of the parents, families, campers and camp counselors.

In addition to being a Family/Couples psychotherapist, he is also a keynote, and motivational speaker, and an executive mentor/coach who hosts senior level workshops and leadership retreats. His subjects range from interpersonal communications, emotional intelligence, situational awareness, parenting the chronically challenged child, teens and suicide, to corporate leadership, and corporate conflict intervention.

Through 2006, Richard was the Executive Director/CEO of Rockland Jewish Family Service of NY, a center promoting and providing mental wellness through individual, couple, and family based therapeutic counseling. He is proud to have initiated a complete program for pediatric and adolescent Aspergers and spectrum disorder social groups, as well as providing services for those aging out of the system. Additionally, he serves on the Peduzzi Associates corporate advisory board advising on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) for military personnel, military couples at risk, and their families, as well as leadership development throughout the corporate community.

Richard has a hybrid career which strengthens his frame of reference. He spent a multitude of years in senior policy positions with corporations throughout the world, and has held Chief-C Level leadership positions with private, public, and not for profit, technology and service organizations including Exxon Corp, Philips NV, and DRS Technologies, in a career that has spanned more than thirty years. His positions ranged from Sales/Business Development to President/CEO, where he stewarded organizations through mergers, acquisitions, integrations, cultural transformations, and joint ventures, both domestically and internationally.

Richard sees his hybrid career as a benefit which he delivers to his clients on a day-to-day basis. Being able to combine the clinical training and experience he has amassed with his worldwide corporate exposure from global travel, communal diversity, and cultural encounters, enables him to reach to many disciplines to develop insights with patients and clients alike.

Richard has been married for over 30 years and has two children. He and his family reside in Bergen County, NJ.
